On 10 June, the ALBATROSS coordinator Laura Leo of UNIBO participated in the webinar “Flowing Knowledge: Nature-Based Solutions from Theory to Practice”. This was the last seminar of the International Summer School on Water Resilience and Nature-Based Solutions, held from 3 to 10 June, organised by the NBSINFRA project as a partner event of the EU Green Week.

Laura presented the EU-funded projects, OPERANDUM and ALBATROSS, both having a focus on nature-based solutions for climate change adaptation and hydrometeorological risk reduction, highlighting the interlinkages between the completed OPERANDUM and the recently launched ALBATROSS. She explained the overall approach of ALBATROSS and presented the expected outputs, ranging from innovative climate services and tools to guidelines and policy briefs for decision-makers in the Sub-Saharan countries where ALBATROSS operates.

ALBATROSS was quite prominent in this webinar, as not only Laura spoke about it. Faduma Ali from UNESCO also cited ALBATROSS in her presentation on the initiatives UNESCO is involved in regarding nature-based solutions for disaster risk reduction.
