ALBATROSS was officially launched in Madagascar today! A rich event took place in Antananarivo.

High-level policy and decision-makers attended the kick-off meeting: institutional representatives from the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development and the National Office for Risk and Disaster Management highlighted the importance of projects like ALBATROSS.

The project coordinator, Laura Leo from UNIBO, gave a general overview of ALBATROSS and its objectives.

Representatives of the four ALBATROSS partners in Madagascar made remarks about their participation and contribution to the project, in particular to the hubs they coordinate and participate in. From UNESCO, Joseph Muhwanga gave remarks; from OXFAM South Africa, Liveson Manguwo and Christian     Monja; from Bôndy Mendrika Randrianarivelo and Vincent Garruchet, and finally, from CERED, Mahefasoa Randrianalijaona.

This is the starting point of what is sure to be a long and fruitful journey towards climate adaptation!
