ALBATROSS showcased at the event “Bridging Continents, Shaping Futures: Collaborative Pathways in Higher Education between Italy and Africa”
On 16 December 2025, the University of Bologna met its strategic African partners to discuss shared challenges and emerging opportunities in scientific cooperation. With the aim of reinforcing institutional partnerships, fostering joint programmes and digital innovation, and supporting the development of more inclusive higher education systems, diplomatic representatives from Italy and the invited African countries’ embassies and consulates (Ethiopia, Senegal, Tunisia, Ghana, and South Africa), alongside representatives of various universities in these countries, contributed to the discussion.
The programme also features presentations of ongoing collaborative projects in research, teaching, and capacity development, jointly carried out by researchers from the University of Bologna and partner African universities, among which ALBATROSS was showcased. The project coordinator and co-coordinator Laura Sandra Leo and Silvana Di Sabattino presented the project, offering insights of the collaborative work that features ALBATROSS’ activity.
