The ALBATROSS partners from the University of Cape Town (South Africa), have recently published an article in The Conversation, an independent, non-profit media network that publishes news, analysis, and research, aimed at sharing expert-backed research and scientific knowledge directly with the general public to reduce misinformation.

Entitled “Africa’s climate services need local detail and knowledge, say people who use the information“, the article details a study carried out within ALBATROSS. It was based on 530 interviews they carried out in the seven hubs with members of community groups, government, NGOs, intergovernmental organisations, parastatals, businesses and research organisations. From the responses received, they “looked at what information people received about past, current and future climate conditions. We asked how they used this information in their work and what else they needed”, say authors in the article.
