Registration open for Summer School on nature-based solutions for hydro-meteo hazards and climate change adaptation
The ALBATROSS partners the University of Bologna and UNESCO have jointly organised a Summer School to be celebrated from 22 to 26 July 2024 at the University of Bologna, Bologna, Italy. Registration for this summer school is open until 3 June 2024. The school is a partner event of the EU Green Week.
The summer school is centred around three EU-funded projects OPERANDUM, LAND4CLIMATE and ALBATROSS, which aim to demonstrate the effectiveness of Nature-based Solutions (NBS) to hydro-meteorological hazards in several case study sites. The summer school will present methodologies for the co-creation of NBS, from stakeholder engagement and risk assessment to implementation and monitoring, and for the evaluation of their efficacy in present and future climate. The results are multidisciplinary and involve novel modelling strategies, laboratory measurements and targeted monitoring open-field campaigns where NBSs are implemented.
The list of lecturers is available below, with ALBATROSS partners highlighted. More information here.
