The Kumasi Hub kick-off meeting took place on 29 August 2024, which brought together a diverse group of experts, practitioners, academia and enthusiasts who share a common passion for adapting to climate change.

The meeting was led by Prof. Leonard Kofitse Amekudzi, a Full Professor of Atmospheric Physics and Climate Science and Provost, College of Science at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi. He thanked “our stakeholders, sponsors, partners, and volunteers for their unwavering support in making this event possible”.

During the breakout sessions that were included in the meeting, participants had the occasion to exchange ideas and insights, identify the challenges, and collaborate on solutions that can drive progress in our shared interests.
