ALBATROSS, part of the initiatives towards a sustainable future in Ghana
On 23 February 2026, the ALBATROSS partner Prof Christopher Gordon, from the Institute of Environment and Sanitation Studies, University of Ghana, participated in the Sustainability Symposium 2026, organised by the Campuses Sustainability Alliance (CampSA) and the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) in Accra. The title of the event was “Reinforcing Ghana’s Higher Education Institutions to Lead the Transition to a Sustainable Society”.
This was the first nation-wide event organised by these institutions to start conversations about strengthening Ghanaian higher education institutions’ capacity to holistically embody a sustainable campus and lead the transition to a sustainable society. In his intervention, which took place in the panel discussion of the meeting, Gordon presented ALBATROSS among the initiatives that the University of Ghana is running for a sustainable future.
